Moms

I just want to give a little shout out. I know its a couple weeks late, but I love moms! Especially mine! I think it is so awesome to watch young moms, new moms, people you thought would never be a mom, transform into the role. It just comes so natural and they look like they were meant to have a baby on their hip.

My mom is who I want to be when I grow up! She loves and supports us no matter what! My sisters and sis-in-law are such good moms, but I know they've learned from the best! ;) My grandma is such an awesome lady! She is so funny! Always keeps us laughing! I have a great mother-in-law! I could go on and on! I am so lucky to have so many great examples in my life and I know someday I will get the opportunity to be a mom! But for now I will just enjoy watching all of you :)

Life is good

I have been in kind of a slump lately. Didn't think I really had anything blog-worthy to share. But then I started thinking about all that we did the last month or so.... and life is good!
Here goes....

*Chase and Melissa came out!!! YESSSS! We had a blast while they were here. We had a little BBQ, and it was so fun to see everyone and catch up!
*We did NOT attend the fair!!
*Ian and Ross went for a MTB ride while Kam and I got massages! Even though i got the man who kept rubbing his hairy arms on me.......It was still a massage!
*Went to Savior of the World with YW Presidency(some) and my mom!
*Went to Hoover Dam and took a Dam tour with the Strattons(most of them)!
*Had a girls night before Jess leaves! :( sniff sniff...... It was fun though. Loved Alice in Wonderland!!(yes i'm a little odd)
*Did a little yard work(well Ian and Mason did! Thanks!)

We're doing great! Trying to fit some fun things in with our busy lives: Work, YW, YM, Baseball games, Ian's Masters(yes that involves both of us), Ian's work out schedule and diet! Geez! ;)

Spring Break and Easter

We didn't do much over spring break...kinda boring. I had to work a couple days, so we just hung out around home and went for some rides :)


On Easter we braved the wind to do our annual Easter egg roll and jump contest. Pretty sure I won both. It was WINDY! But fun!!

Every year when I was young(er) we would wake up early, pack up the cooler, and head to the desert to watch this!

We would get our first sunburn of the year(I know.. real smart huh!) and watch some racin! We Loved it! Miss the good ol days!

This year it was on the same day as Mason and Chelsi's wedding. The boys got up early and went out to watch some of the action before we had to go to the sealing. Then on the way home we decided we had some time to kill before the reception, so we went back out and watched some more!

Two sister-in-laws(or is it sisters-in-law? ;)) in two months! After being the only "daughter" for almost six years. We're way excited to have new additions. They definitely bring out the best in those boys! ;)
It turned out to be a nice Saturday after a windy week!

Not so quick get-a-way

Me and my mom planned this quick weekend get-a-way about a month ago. The plan was to fly up to Salt lake, watch Brooklynn dance, watch the BYU dancers, fly back, be home in time to drive down to Havasu to Josh's race. Ya.......thanks to the weather and Southwest it didn't run as smoothly as planned. We got to the airport about an hour before our flight Thursday night, looked for our flight on the board and it said delayed til 11:30!! Are you kidding me?! We were supposed to leave at 8:15!! Its not like we can just run home and come back, so...we hung out at the airport for 5 hours!!! I watched all the tv shows I had on my ipod, read a little, finally we got so bored we bought dice for $8! Played farkel for an hour or so then we finally left Vegas at 12:30! So we slept in the next day, did a little shopping, and went to 7 brides for 7 brothers at this little hole in the wall place. But it was good! It was alot of fun! The next day we did a little more shopping ;) went to watch the BYU ballroom dance co. Brooklynns group danced in the pre-show and they did really good! So fun!! The BYU dancers were awesome! It was seriously SO COOL!! Their costumes were amazing! and modest! (see Dancing With the Stars..It can be done!) I loved it! We were supposed to fly out at 8 that night......We wised up and checked our flight status BEFORE we went to the airport..and..delayed..again!! So went went back and watched half of the BYU dancers 2nd show(yes. it was that good!) We ended up getting home at 1 am...so we didn't really feel like getting up and driving down to Havasu, which I was really bummed about because I like going to that track, but he won! so that was good!

It still was a really fun(girly)weekend! I'm so lucky to have my mom and my sisters! And NO I don't MAKE my husband go to all these girly things(twilight, musicals, etc...) Your welcome hun! :) Oh.. except for Wicked. I forgot about that..That was different. I didn't have anybody to go with! And I know you loved it ;D
