North Carolina!

We had so much fun on our vaca! I was looking through all the pictures thinking about what I was going to write about and I think it's going to take more than post! Too many good picts and memories.
Ian flew into Lake Charles with Melissa a few days before me. So he got to hang out in LA for a couple days(while I worked.......) Then I flew into New Orleans. They picked me up and we were off! Well....to the hotel. I got in at around 1 a.m. So we got some sleep and then we were really off!

We drove from Louisiana. So......we got to drive through Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina. We made a few stops on the way of course.

This is in Destin, Florida. I thought it was awesome!

We stayed in Savannah, Georgia, which is the most haunted city in the US. We didn't see any ghosts, but I was still a little scared.......
Hours and hours of driving later(good thing we have a lot of fun together no matter what we are doing) we made it to our destination.
CAROLINA BEACH, NORTH CAROLINA!

We rented a beach house for the week. It was so nice to just relax, hang out at the beach, see the sights. We only had one mishap...... Ian got stung by a stingray!!!!!!!! Its was crazy! We thought he was faking a shark attack because we had been watching shark week on discovery. But NO. He said he has never felt pain like that in his whole life. And he is not a whiner or complainer.
So we googled stingray attacks. It said to rinse it and keep it in super hot water, scrape all the poison out with a credit card, and the pain will peak in 2-3 hours! This cooler was the only thing big enough for his foot. We kept boiling water and putting it in there. These pictures were right after it happened, so the pain hadn't "peaked" yet. A few hours later he was in so much pain. So we called the ER and they told us pretty much the same thing that google did. But she told him to take a benadryl. Which made him a little crazy! He never takes anything! So he was saying all sorts of crazy things! good times.

Chase was a great nurse. He really wanted to pee on it, but luckily for Ian that is only good for jellyfish stings!

This picture doesn't look that bad. The next day it was black and blue and swollen. And it just kept getting more black and blue as the week went on. He says his foot still feels weird. It was only our 2nd day there, too! But it didn't slow him down! He was back in the water the next day! crazy kid.

Playmill!

If you are ever in West Yellowstone, MT or Jackson Hole, WY and want to be entertained, you should definitely stop here!

I know it doesn't look like much, but we made a special trip up this year just to go here! We didn't even go into the park. Ok.....I guess I better clarify. I made a special trip up this year, along with my mom, grandma, my sister, and a couple nieces. Oh, and a nephew(poor thing, plans changed last minute and Tyler had to come!) Although, Ian has been a couple of times and he said that it's pretty good. It's a super small theater. Not a bad seat in the house. When you walk in, all of the actors are in costume and they seat you. They do a pre-show for about a 15-20 minutes before the show starts which is usually pretty hilarious! Then at intermission all of the actors come out and sell popcorn, pop, ice cream, water, and FUDGE that is delicious! It gets a little crazy, but so fun!

This year they were doing 7 Brides for 7 Brothers and Beauty and the Beast. We wanted to see them both so we left early on Wednesday,(June 30th) got there in time for the girls to have a tea party with Belle! That night we watched Beauty and the Beast. It was SO GOOD! I think I liked it better than 7 brides! Then we went back to the hotel, did a little swimming, and TRIED to get some sleep! (haha! mom and Wendy you know..............)

(this is inside the theater-not the best pic.)

We did do a little sight seeing the next day!
Sorry Wen....But I think this picture is hilarious! She is yelling at her kids to get back in the van! But the Tetons are in the background! Covered in snow!! Crazy! It was so green everywhere! So pretty!

This is Mesa Falls, by Island Park, ID.

Makenzee, me, Brooklynn

7 Brides for 7 Brothers was really good! BUT I'm always disappointed with Adam when I watch it live. My expectations are too high I guess. They just don't compare to the guy in the movie! With his booming voice! hahaha! I think Pres. Robison would be perfect! ;)
After it was over we headed back to Wendy's. It was late, and a long drive, but we made it safe and sound! We had a blast!

Kanarraville hike

We did this hike a couple of times this summer. Once your feet go numb it's great! haha! The first time it was just me and Ian. Then we went with the Blackwells and Josh and Tiff and the kids! It's way fun! When you get up to the top there is a rock slide you can go down(into the FREEZING cold water!) But lots of fun! I didn't get any pics of that. Most of us tried it out, though!
When all of us went, it started POURING rain on our way down! It was really cool! Kinda chilly!(imagine that!) Josh was trying to hide under a tree so Jaxyn wouldn't get wet, but he didn't seem to mind at all. We tried to take shelter for a little bit, but then decided to just go for it. We were pretty wet, but it felt good once we got into the sun.

(I didn't take any pictures the 2nd time around. So these are just of us.)
