Ian graduated with his Masters of Education Degree last weekend from SUU!
He is my American idol.

You get this sweet robe thingy when you get your Masters.
The more educated you are the more accessories you get!

I am very proud of him. He works so hard at everything he does.
Congrats Ian! Love you!

:) I think that's the funniest thing I've heard all day! For all those who know my mom, you KNOW she is a fashionable lady, she just happens to have a few killer dresses and things that are perfect for Halloween costumes. This time I just need something cute for Ian's graduation, though. I guess i could wear the same dress that I wore on Halloween! That would be pretty awesome actually........hmmmm.

BTW....Mom's closet is organized by color, AND type of clothing; shirts, skirts, pants, etc........Seriously? I hope I put everything back in the right place! ;)

That's how I feel, and have felt since the holidays! I can't get motivated to do much of anything(if you couldn't tell by my posts that are from 4 months ago) and the year is half over! I am snapping out of it, though! It's about time.....

I was listening to the radio on my way to work this morning and they were talking about parents. In particular, what are some funny things your parents do. My dad's famous line is, "clean it up!" and not like a spilled the milk "clean it up" It's when you get all of us kids together and we get a little rowdy, crude, out of control, whatever you want to call it...."clean it up." I love my family SO much! I am very blessed to have ALL of them in my life.

One lady called in and said whenever she asked her dad how he was doing his reply was, "Best day of my life!" I want to have an attitude like that! So, I'm changing my outlook on life. I am going to try and smile before 10:00 a.m. and be happy in the mornings.....(I know my fam is laughing and saying ya right) I will try :)

I will also try to update this thing more often, mostly for myself. I love to go back and read old posts and look at the pictures. Speaking of pictures....It's a good thing I take them, or I wouldn't remember half the stuff that goes on! I was looking through the pictures on my camera, and I was like, oh yeah! oh yeah! oh yeah! hahaha So I have a lot of pics to post and stories to share(with myself)

Yup I'm 30......

..and we had a wild party! On December 29th I turned the big 3-0...... Maybe that's why I have been so depressed! JK!
It was a really good day! Ian spoiled me rotten, we had cake, people danced on the table, what more could I ask for?
Life is good! Not how I pictured it would be when I turned 30, but still good! I'm excited for my next 30!

Holidays....yes, the ones that were 2 months ago!

Well.......as I was moving the pics around I deleted all of my writing........So here I go again...

I don't know how you all find the time to stay updated on your blogs, not that its a bad thing, but man....I can't keep up!
Thanksgiving!! (Was almost 3 months ago!) But it was lots of fun! We were with the Fredericks this year. We try and switch off every year, share the love :) The holidays kinda stress me out..It's so nice to have both families so close, but at the same time can be kinda hectic around the holidays with so much going on! And I don't even have any pictures from thanksgiving, so thats LAME!
We had a really fun Christmas, too! We did the traditional candlelight dinner, kids act out the Christmas story(with questionable costumes....shiley...) Christmas PJ's, Christmas morning breakfast with the Strattons, But this year we had a SURPRISE!!!

It was seriously a surprise...no one knew ANYTHING, except my mom and dad. It was so fun! The kids loved it, some were a little unsure at first, but when they saw who was behind the beard it was all good! It was grandpa! Which was a shocker, but awesome! My mom said it was all his idea, which is really not like my dad, but it was awesome!! So Fun!

New Years eve we went to Vegas, ate at BJ's, which is one of my new favorite places :) and went to pole position......which closed as soon as we pulled up! Then we tried to ride speed at the Sahara, but that closed 4 minutes before we got there! So we came home. I went to bed. I'm not sure what everyone else did, BUT I made it to midnight!! woot. woot.
Happy new year! New years resolution #1 keep up on blog.....hahahahahaha! mmmhhhmmm..

Mom and dad celebrated their 75th...I mean their 40th wedding anniversary. They had peace and quiet for about 11 months right after they were married, and haven't been alone since! We know they would be way too bored without us or one of the grandchildren around. ;D
