Kauai

This summer we went to see these guys!!

We would go and visit them anywhere, but it just so happens that they live in Hawaii right now..Lucky us!!
A few weeks before we left, Chase told us to go and get a tan and stuff so we wouldn't look like tourists. So, what did we do? Went to DI to get killer "tourist" outfits!
So this is what they saw when they came to get us at the airport. Yep. we really wore this, and we got a LOT of looks. :)

KAUAI IS BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
So pretty much, here is our vaca in pictures, I don't know how to spell most of the places we went, but will try...

swinging bridge

salt pond

Everything is bigger in Hawaii :)

Swimming hole!!
(yes, BRANDON, that is me jumping off the cliff)

cool tree

Polihale

we get a little out of control...

North Shore!!

One of my favorite places. Once you get out there a little ways it just drops off and there are underwater tunnels. It was scary, but awesome. This is where Bethany Hamilton lost her arm!

how cute.

Waiamea
(sp? I know that's not right)

We had a blast! Didn't want to come home, and can't wait to go back!
It took me forever to post this, because I couldn't decide which pics to post. So many!

Oahu

On our way home we spent a day on Oahu. We were supposed to spend three days here, but we didn't want to leave Chase, Meliss, and Max, so we changed our flights to spend a few more days on Kauai. Which I am so happy we did! Oahu was.....o.k. Pearl Harbor and the temple were awesome, but as far as the scenery goes...nothing compared to Kauai.

our hotel is one of those?

Waikiki beach
It was just really commercialized. Kinda like driving down the strip in Vegas.

Pearl Harbor

relation??

Dole pineapple plantation...was PACKED! The pineapple fields(is that what they are called?) are never-ending, though. It's awesome!

Laie, HI temple=BEAUTIFUL. To learn more about our temples, go here.

We're still alive

It has been a crazy summer! Busy, stressful, and FUN! Will post pictures soon. I have lots.

We are staying in Clark county for now...thats a long story. Maybe someday it will have a post all of its own, maybe it won't.

Highlights of summer:

  • Getting to visit Chase and Melissa and meet MAX! (That was definitely THE highlight)

  • being gone for most of it! ;)

  • girls camp

  • trips to Marysvale, NC, and the lake

  • swimming!

Lowlights(is that a word) of summer:

  • Not knowing for sure where we would be this up-coming school year.

  • Being all ready to move and then end up staying....still having mixed feelings.....

  • Having to come home from visiting Chase, Meliss and Max(NO! 2 weeks was NOT long enough)

Life is good. We really did have a great summer! I can't believe it's already back to school time!

SHOUT OUT TO MY POPS!

HAPPY FATHERS DAY DAD!

You are awesome! We love you more than you know.
We couldn't ask for a better dad or gramps.

We went to Marysvale over Memorial day weekend. It was freezing! I just thought these were some cute pictures.

Happy Anniversary to us!(a couple weeks ago)

June 4th marked 7 years for us! Can you believe it?! I can't. I know that everyone always writes mushy stuff that nobody wants to read about.....But I really couldn't have picked a better man(and Ian a better woman ;D I'm sure that's what he would say if he were here)hehe We are happy and still in love.....most days :)
SEE!

eeewwwwww gross I know!

OK....I'm sure you're wondering what the above pictures have to do with our anniversary??? Well.....we had big plans, but life happens and plans change. We went to the Shark Reef! It was fun! and free! Ian wanted to get revenge on the stingrays, if you remember last summer. He still has a weird scar and it still feels funny. Anyways.... they made peace.
Here's to 7 more years! and many more after that!
